Job Description:
Includes overnight and day check ins for our furry friends. You will stay in our clients home (only for overnights) and be expected to provide top quality care to their pet(s). All clients you care for will have a required meet n greet [you will meet the pet(s), our client(s), and get to know their home] where you will be paid for your time to ensure the pet is a good fit for for you and vice versa. I always want you to feel comfortable in the place you are staying and safe (Your safety is one of our top priorities!). This way we can get to know our clients, their needs, and their fur babies. We have a protocol that is easy to follow to ensure you get all the information you need during a meet n greet to be prepared to care for the pet during the booked dates. You be required to take a course for Canine and Feline CPR (through the Recover Initiative) and a training course on pet toxicology and appropriate canine and feline behavior so we can better notice if anything is off with our animals we are caring for (ex: if a pet is sick). Training will also be conducted for a period to shadow a current sitter and ensure you are knowledgeable and prepared for the job.
During a stay you will care for all the pets needs- feedings, making sure they are properly hydrated and have consistent access to clean and full water, regularly letting them out so they can potty, cleaning up potty, administering any medication they need, and making sure their exercise, play, and social needs are met as requested by the owner. This can include walks, playing with toys, or trips to the dog park. We also clean the homes we visit during our stay making sure they are in just as nice of condition as they were when we walked in (so essentially just cleaning up after yourself and the pets as messes occur). You will communicate to our clients via a group message including Dani (the owner) on all messages. We give daily updates with pictures and document anything abnormal in behavior or health that we may notice and immediately notify our clients and follow the appropriate protocol. After the visit, the client has the opportunity to rate the business and the dogsitter so we know how to improve!
Petsitting is a great job for flexibility. Petsitters are booked for vacations typically or times when families work long hours. It allows for students or people who work remotely to get extra cash while taking care of cute animals. If you dream of playing with dogs/cats all day this is a ideal job for you.

-Available to check on dogs and let them out at least every 4-6 hours. If you can’t for longer on certain days please let me know and we can work with your schedule by splitting with another pet sitter.
